Food Waste Disposers Accept Credit Cards

The Jeju City Municipal Office allows payment by credit cards for discarding food waste. The city government added the functions of accepting credit cards at 1,500 food waste disposers.

Jeju City will also replace 600 disposers which accept credit cards.

Hence, it is expected that the inconvenience of
purchasing and charging transportation cards to discard food waste
will be relieved.

The city government will also install 60 food waste disposers with cooling systems on a test basis
during the second half of the year
to reduce odor and insects.



음식물쓰레기 종량기 신용카드 결제기능 추가

제주시가 음식물쓰레기 종량기 1천500여 대에
신용카드 결제 기능을 추가했다고 밝혔습니다.

이어 내년에도 600여대를 교체할 계획입니다.

이에따라 음식물쓰레기를 배출하기 위해
교통카드를 구입해 충전해야 하는 번거로움이
해소될 전망입니다.

제주시는 하반기에는
악취와 벌레꼬임 등의 문제 해결을 위해
냉장형 감량기 60여대를 시범적으로 설치할 예정입니다.
