Applications 4·3 Compensation Begins June 1

The provincial government will accept applications for compensation for the victims of the April 3rd Incident from June 1st.

The applications have six phases, beginning with the surviving victims of the incident.

A total of 2,100 victims, including 105 surviving victims,
who were determined as the victims of April 3rd Incident on November 20th, 2002 and March 21st, 2003
will be the candidates for the applications this year.

Surviving victims are required to submit their applications themselves.
In the case where the victim has passed away or is missing,
heirs of the victims based on civil law may submit their application.

90 million won will be compensated for dead and missing victims.
For victims suffering from disabilities or from serving a sentence,
their compensation amount will be determined by
a committee with the maximum amount of 90 million won.




내달 1일부터 4·3 희생자 보상금 지급 신청

제주특별자치도가 다음달 1일부터
4.3 희생자 보상금 지급에 따른 신청을 받습니다.

신청은 생존 희생자를 우선으로 하고
나머지는 희생자 결정 순서에 따라 6차례로 나눠 진행됩니다.

올해의 경우 생존희생자 105명과 함께 지난 2002년 11월 20일,
2003년 3월 21일 결정된 희생자로 전체 2천 100명입니다.

생존 희생자의 경우 본인이 신청해야 하며,
희생자가 사망하거나 행방불명된 경우 유족 결정 여부와는 상관없이
현행 민법상 상속권자가 신청 대상입니다.

보상금액은 사망과 행방불명 희생자의 경우 9천만원,
후유장애 희생자나 수형인의 경우
9천만원 범위에서 위원회가 결정한 금액으로 지급됩니다.
