Number of Police Reports Increases by 9.2%

After lifting social distancing measures, the number of reports made to the police has increased in Jeju.

According to the Jeju Provincial Police Agency, after April 18th
when the social distancing measures were lifted,
the total number of reports made to the police has increased by 9.2%.

The number of reports related to crimes and traffic issues also showed an
increase by 4.6% and 6.6%, respectively.

In particular, the number of reports made between 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. increased by 77% compared to the period before social distancing measures were lifted.

The police will dispatch police squads to five crime-prone areas determined by data analysis. The police squads will focus on patrol and sobriety tests.

거리두기가 해제된 지난달 18일 이후
전체 112신고 건수는 전보다 9.2% 늘었습니다.

이 가운데 범죄 관련 신고는 4.6%,
교통 관련 신고는 6.6% 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

특히, 새벽 2시에서 4시 사이
112신고 건수는 거리두기 해제 전보다 77% 가량
대폭 늘어난 것으로 분석됐습니다.

경찰은 데이터 분석을 통해 선정한
5개 범죄 취약 지역에
경찰관기동대를 투입하고
순찰과 음주단속을 집중 실시할 계획입니다.
