Automated Mobility Services for Visitors

Automated mobility services will be offered for visitors coming to Jeju.

According to the province, two consortiums participated by nine firms and organizations, including Korea Automotive Technology Institute and Jeju Research Institute,
have been selected through a competition for an automated mobility service project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

The consortiums will offer various services including automated driving shuttles circulating tourist attractions near the airport,
baggage delivery service from the airport to hotels in Jungmun and
public shuttle bus services.

11 automated mobility vehicles will be manufactured and operated during the project period and safety supervisors will board the automated vehicles to prepare for emergency situations.

제주를 찾는 여행객이 자율주행 모빌리티를 직접 체감할 수 있는 서비스가 운영됩니다.

제주도에 따르면 한국자동차연구원과 제주연구원 등
9개 기관.업체가 참여하는 2개의 컨소시엄이
국토부 자율주행 모밀리티 서비스 사업 공모에 선정됐습니다.

이들 컨소시엄은 제주공항 인근 주요 관광지를 연계하는
순환형 자율주행 관광셔틀 서비스와
공항과 중문 호텔간 캐리어 배송 서비스,
대중교통 셔틀버스 서비스를 제공하게 됩니다.

사업기간 모두 11대의 자율차가 제작, 운영될 예정이며
돌발상황에 대비해 전문 안전요원이 탑승한 상태에서 운행됩니다.
