Lowest Voter Turnout in Jeju’s Election History

The Local Election in Jeju’s voter turnout came in at a total of 53.1%. This number is the lowest figure in local Election history in Jeju.

The Jeju National Election Commission said that 53.1% of registered voters participated in the local election held on June 1st.

The 53.1% turnout is higher than the national average turnout in Local Election this year, which is 50.9%, by 2.25% points. However, the figure is the lowest turnout in local election history in the province.

The lowest voter turnout in Jeju in previous years was 62.8% in 2014 which is higher than this year’s turnout o 9.7%, reflecting residents’ low interests in this year’s election.

8년 전인 지난 6회 때의 62.8%로
이보다도 9.7% 낮아
이번 지방선거에 대한 도민들의 낮은 관심도를 반영했습니다.
