\136 Cases of Inaccurate Records Reported

Amid accepting applications for compensation given to victims of the Jeju April 3rd Incident, 130 cases claiming that family relationships are not recorded properly are reported to the local government.

The provincial government said that
a total of 136 reports were made during the period claiming that
family relationships of the victims of the April 3rd Incident were not properly recorded. The reporting period was from May 20 through May 31st.

By reporting category,
90 cases argued that the applicants are sons or daughters of the victims of the Incident,
39 cases handled the complaints that the submitters were an adopted child of the victims and
5 cases claimed that the submitters were siblings of the victims.

The provincial government will categorize the applications and will conduct consultations with the Ministry of Public Administration and Security
to improve the system.

130여 건이 지자체에 접수됐습니다.

제주도는
지난달 20일부터 31일가지 진행한
4.3 희생자 가족관계 불일치 신고 기간에
모두 136건이 접수됐다고 밝혔습니다.

유형별로는
사실상의 자녀 90건과 양자 39건,
형제 자매 5건 등으로 파악됐습니다.

제주도는 이 같은 불일치 사례를 유형화한 뒤
행안부에 제도 개선을 위한 협의를 진행할 예정입니다.
