Suit on Sewage Treatment Plant to Held in July

The first pronouncement of a suit for damage caused by the odor of the Dodu Sewage Treatment Plant will be concluded in July.

Two people, including the owner of the accommodation facility,
filed the damage suit against the provincial government,
claiming 80 million won damage.

The Jeju District Court will give a ruling on the 4th of July.

The plaintiff claimed that as they have mentally and financially suffered from the odor caused by the sewage treatment plant,
the provincial government should take the responsibility for the damage.

The trial will be held after two years since it was filed.
It is expected that successive lawsuits
will follow depending on the results of the first trial.
