Police Efforts to Prevent Crime at Tourist Attraction

The Jeju Municipal Police will do more to enhance the safety of tourist attractions, beaches and accommodation facilities ahead of the holiday season.

The Municipal Police will inspect secret cameras and locking systems in lodging facilities which are promoted to be accommodation facilities for women travelers.

In addition, the police will strengthen the inspection on illegal activities in toilets, shower rooms and changing rooms at local major tourist sites and beaches.

Moreover, as operation of lodgings by sex offenders becomes the serious social issue, the police plan to ask related departments to improve a system, such as the restriction on employment.

본격적인 휴가철을 앞두고 여성안심 특별점검활동을 벌입니다.

이를 위해
여성 전용으로 홍보하고 있는 숙박업소에 대해
몰래카메라 설치 여부와
객실 잠금 장치 등을 점검합니다.

또 해수욕장과 주요 관광지의 화장실과 샤워실, 탈의실 등
여성 이용시설에 대한 방범활동도 강화합니다.

자치경찰단은 이와 함께
성범죄 전력자의 숙박업소 운영이 사회문제로 부각되고 있다며
취업제한 등 제도개선을
관련 부서에 건의할 계획입니다.
