Police Sets Fox to Mind Geese?

The police have booked the official on charges of indecent assault.
As he is a high-ranking official, the case is being investigated at the headquarters of the Korean National Police Agency.


The police officer in question claims that there was no inappropriate touching, saying that he was playing (윷) yut, a traditional board game, surrounded by other visitors and it was daytime.


Meanwhile, the official is known to have been in charge of the department responsible for responding to crimes against women at the time of the incident, and if the subordinate’s claim turns out to be true, the police's internal criticism and aftermath would be very strong.

수사가 이뤄지고 있습니다.

수사의뢰를 했고
본청에서 수사가 진행 중이라고 밝혔습니다.


해당 경찰 간부는
당시 대낮이고 다른 일반인들도
함께 있던 상가집에서 윷놀이를 했었다면서
부적절한 신체 접촉은 없었다고 주장하고 있습니다.


한편 해당 간부는 사건 발생 당시,
여성 피해 범죄 대응을 총괄하는
부서 책임자였던 것으로 알려지면서
수사 결과 혐의가 사실로 드러나면
경찰 내부 비판과 후폭풍은 거셀 것으로 보입니다.
