CSI Hits Lowest in 15 Months

The constant surge in consumer prices and interest rates are affecting consumer sentiment of locals.

According to the Bank of Korea Jeju Branch, the Consumer Sentiment Index(CSI) marked 100.3 last month, down 2.6 points from the previous month.

It is the lowest on record during the past 15 months since recording 97.5 points in March of last year.

The Bank of Korea Jeju Branch explained the Russia Ukraine war and uncertainty of the financial market as the main reason for the plunge in consumer sentiment.

지난 달 제주지역 소비자심리지수는
100.3으로 전달보다 2.6 포인트 하락했습니다.

이는 지난해 3월 97.5를 기록한 이후
15개월 만에 가장 낮은 수준입니다.

한국은행 제주본부는
러시아 우크라이나 전쟁과
금융시장의 불확실성으로
소비심리가 둔화됐다고 설명했습니다.
