Farmland Committee Operates Next Month

Jeju City and Seogwipo City will set up and operate a Farmland Committee from the 18th of next month in accordance with the revision of the Farmland Act.

The Farmland Committee consists of local farmers, experts, and non-profit private organizations, and will assess on farmland acquisition qualifications, progress of farmland projects, and investigation on ownership.

The two administrative cities expect the establishment of the Farmland Committee to strengthen the screening process of areas of concern in regards to land speculations.



농지위원회 다음달 18일부터 설치 운영

제주시와 서귀포시가 농지법 개정에 따라 다음달 18일부터 농지위원회를 설치해 운영합니다.


농지위원회는 지역 농업인과 농지 전문가, 비영리민간단체 추천인 등으로 구성되고 농지 취득자격 심사와 농지의 목적사업 추진상황 확인, 농지 소유 조사 등의 역할을 하게 됩니다.


양 행정시는 농지위원회 설치 등으로 투기 우려 지역과 농지 쪼개기 등의 심사가 강화될 것으로 예상하고 있습니다.
