Daycare Leaders Sentenced to Prison

The Criminal Settlement Department of the Jeju District Court sentenced nine people, including the a teacher and head of a daycare center in Jeju City to two and a half years in prison.

While the court gave the defendants an opportunity to come to an agreement with the victims, the defendants were not seen to reflect on themselves. The court came to a final decision to sentence all of the defendants to prison.



어린이집 학대 원장·교사 항소심 '법정 구속'

제주지방법원 형사 합의부는 어린이집 아동을 상습적으로 학대하고 이를 묵인한 혐의 등으로 기소된 제주시 어린이집 원장과 보육교사 등 9명에 대한 항소심 재판에서 징역 4월부터 2년 6개월의 실형을 선고하고 법정 구속했습니다.

재판부는 판결문에서 1심에서 실형을 선고 받은 피고인들에게 피해자와 합의할 기회를 줬지만 제대로 이뤄지지 않았고
반성하는 모습도 보여지지 않는다며 피고 전원을 법정 구속한다고 판시했습니다.
