July Marked Third Hottest in History

With the delay of the monsoon season last month, July was recorded as the third hottest ever in the province.

According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration, the average temperature in July in Jeju hit 27.3 degrees which was the third hottest July.

The province has had a maximum of 18 days of tropical nights ranking fourth place, and Jeju City has had up to 26 days ranking first place for the first time.

Although the monsoon has ended,
the Korea Meteorological Administration has called for special attention to prevent disasters such as heat waves, torrential rains and typhoons that are expected during the summer season.

지난달 주춤한 장맛비와 폭염으로 제주는 역대 세번째 더웠던 7월로 기록되고 있습니다.

제주지방기상청에 따르면 지난달 제주의 평균 기온은 27.3도로 7월 중 역대 세번째를 보였습니다.

열대야 일수는 18일로
역대 4위를 보인 가운데
제주시 지역의 경우 26일로 거의 매일 나타나
역대 1위를 기록했습니다.


기상청은 장마가 종료됐지만
남은 여름철에 폭염과 집중호우, 태풍 등
위험기상이 예상되는 만큼
재해예방에 각별한 주의를 당부했습니다.
