Seogwipo Offers Free HPV Vaccination


Seogwipo City will expand vaccination of HPV papillomavirus in humans which are effective in preventing cervical cancer.

Targets are female teenagers aged 12 to 17 and low-income women aged 18 to 26. Eligible people can be vaccinated free of charge at a nearby consignment medical institution or public health center.

HPV infection is a major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer and vaginal cancer. Vaccination can prevent more than 90% of cancers caused by HPV.




서귀포시, 사람유두종바이러스 무료 예방접종 지원


서귀포시가 자궁경부암 예방 효과가 있는 사람유두종바이러스 예방접종을 확대 지원합니다.

지원 대상은 만 12살에서 17살 여성 청소년과 만 18살에서 26살의 저소득층 여성으로 가까운 위탁 의료기관이나 보건소에서 무료로 예방접종이 가능합니다.

사람 유두종 바이러스 감염은 자궁경부암과 항문암, 질암 등의 주요 원인이며
예방접종을 통해 사람유두종바이러스로 인해 유발되는 암의 90% 이상을 예방할 수 있습니다.
