Governor Plans to Urbanize Jeju

A project is being carried out to create a "15 Minute Urban Jeju," one of Governor (오영훈) Oh Young-hoon's key pledges of the eighth elected administration.

To lead the campaign a working group has been initiated to work on urban planning for the island. The group held its first meeting to discuss the initial plan of action.

Related services are scheduled to be ordered in October.
Plans will include establishing the concept of the ‘15 Minute Urban Jeju”, assessing and analyzing needs by region, urban planning on residential areas, and piloting projects.

"15 Minute Urban Jeju" is one of Governor Oh’s pledges to overcome the limitations of spaces, improve accessibility to walkways for pedestrians and improve transportation for cyclers and the public, and to strengthen access to basic living services.

오영훈 지사의 민선 8기 핵심공약 가운데 하나인 '15분 도시 제주'를 조성하기 위한 사업이 추진되고 있습니다.

제주도는 최근 15분 도시 제주를 조성하기 위한 전문가 워킹그룹을 구성해 첫 회의를 개최하고 기본구상 수립 용역을 위한 내용을 논의했습니다.

관련 용역은 오는 10월 발주될 예정으로 15분 도시 제주의 개념을 정립하고 지역별 생활 서ㄷ비스 수요분석, 생활권 계획, 시범사업 발굴 등 전반적인 내용을 담게 됩니다.

'15분 도시 제주'는 도시와 농촌 공간의 한계를 극복하고 보행과 자전거, 대중교통 접근성 개선과 근거리 생활서비스를 강화하는 내용의 오영훈 지사의 공약입니다.
