Jeju Restauratns Caught For Illegal Food Distribution

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province's autonomous police have cracked down on illegal food distribution focusing on Social Media and delivery apps.

10 violations were made with regards to the country of origin labeling, one violation found on the Food Sanitation Act, and livestock hygiene.

In particular, six top-ranked delivery app companies were included in the crackdown and were found with violations.

Items involved include Turkish semi-dried figs, Chinese buckwheat powder, and Chinese kimchi sold as domestic or Jeju products, foods with dates passed the expiration date including dried noodles, glutinous rice powder, and Korean Jeon powder.

Future crack downs will include large discount stores, traditional markets, and large hotels.




부정식품 유통 잇따라 적발…유명 맛집도 포함


제주특별자치도 자치경찰단이 추석을 앞두고 SNS와 배달어플을 중심으로 부정식품 유통행위를 중점 단속한 결과 원산지 표시 위반 10건과 식품위생법 위반 1건, 축산물위생관리법 1건을 적발했습니다.

특히 배달어플 상위랭킹 업체 6개소가 이번 단속에 적발돼 포함되기도 했습니다.

터키산 반건조 무화과와 중국산 메밀가루,
중국산 김치를 국내산 또는 제주산으로 속여 판매하는가 하면
유통기한이 지난 건면과 찹쌀가루, 부침가루 등을 보관하고 있다가 적발됐습니다.


자치경찰단은 앞으로 대형마트와 오일시장,대형호텔 등에서 사용하는 식자재에 대해서도 단속활동을 펼쳐 나갈 계획입니다.
