Bill Passed for Direct Payment System

This revision to the Fisheries Direct Payment Act, which allows direct payments to fisheries with low incomes, passed the plenary session of the National Assembly.

According to lawmaker (위성곤) Wi Sung-gon, the bill to partially revise the Fisheries Direct Payment Act includes direct payments to small-sized fishermen and fishing vessells.

Payments will begin next year for businesses that meet the standard in terms of type and size prescribed by Presidential Decree. Eligible businesses must earn more than 1.2 million won per year and operate more than 60 days per year.

Lawmaker Wi plans to expand the budget to increase the number of beneficiaries to include small fisheries.




소규모 어가 직접지불제 개정안 국회 통과


소득이 낮은 어업인에게도
직불금을 지급하는 수산직불제법 개정안이 국회 본회의를 통과했습니다.

위성곤 국회의원에 따르면 이번에 국회를 통과한 수산직불제법 일부개정법률안은
소규모 어가와 어선원에게도 직불금을 지급하는 내용입니다.

이에따라 어업경영을 통한 수산물 판매액이
연간 120만원 이상인 사람과
1년 중 60일 이상 어업에 종사하는 사람 가운데 어업형태나 어가 전체 경영규모가 대통령령으로 정하는 기준에 해당할 경우 내년부터 수산직불금이 지급됩니다.

위 의원은 많은 소규모 어가들이 혜택을 볼 수 있도록 관련 예산도 확대해 나갈 계획입니다.
