Measures Under Review to Protect Teachers


Measures are being taken to separate students from teachers whom have been victimized by violent harassment.

The Ministry of Education announced it will work to prevent any infringement of educational activities and strengthen responses.
Teachers normally used ‘special leave’ in order to avoid contact with student offenders in the past. However, immediate action will be taken in order to expell the student offender and separate them from the vicimized teacher.

The government will also review ways to record measures taken on students who violate the rights of teachers.




교권침해 학생 교사와 분리…학생부 기재도 검토


교사에게 폭력을 행사하는 등 심각하게 교권을 침해한 학생을 피해 교사와 분리하는 방안이 추진됩니다.
교육부는 이 같은 내용을 골자로 한 교육활동 침해 예방과 대응 강화 방안을 발표했습니다.

이에따라 지금은 중대한 교육활동 침해 사안이 발생했을 경우 교사가 특별휴가를 활용해 학생과의 접촉을 피하는 경우가 많았지만 앞으로는 학생 출석정지 등의 조치로 교원과 즉시 분리할 방침입니다.

정부는 또 교육활동 침해 학생에 대한 조치를 학교생활기록부에 기재하는 방안도 검토하기로 했습니다.
