Warning sof Early Autumn Drought

Since the typhoon hit in the middle of last month, there has been no significant rain, and some areas are now showing autumn drought.

The Jeju Agricultural Technology Institute, said the amount of rainfall in Jeju following the typhoon last month recorded 1.4 mm, which is much less than the average 123 mm.

In particular, signs of early drought are also showing in (강정동) Gangjeong-dong, (위미리) Wimi-ri, (조천 신촌리) Jocheon Sinchon-ri, and (표션면) Pyoseon-myeon Sewha-ri in Seogwipo City.

The Institute emphasizes periodic irrigation in the morning and evenings, when moisture evaporation is low, saying, "there is no sign of rain for a while.

지난달 중순 태풍 내습 이후 이렇다할 비가 내리지 않으면서
일부 지역에서 가을 가뭄현상을 보이고 있습니다.

제주도농업기술원에 따르면
지난달 중순 태풍 이후 제주지역 강수량이 1.4mm로
평년의 123mm에 비해
크게 부족한 것으로 나타났습니다.

특히 서귀포시 강정동과 위미리,
조천 신촌리, 표선면 세화리에서 초기 가뭄현상을 보이고 있습니다.

농업기술원은
당분간 비 예보도 없어 가뭄현상이 확산될 조짐을 보이고 있다며
수분 증발이 적은 아침과 저녁 시간대에
주기적인 관수작업을 강조하고 있습니다.
