Winners of the 43rd Man-Deok Award

The winners of the 43rd (김만덕) Man-deok Award have been selected. One of the two awards goes to volunteer (정정숙) Jung Jung-sook, and the second one is given to businesswoman (박명순) Park Myung-soon.

(정정숙) Jung Jung-sook has been selected as the winner for voluntary service. Her work includes volunteering at social welfare facilities and taking care of people with special needs including senior citizens, the disabled, teenagers, and women in need. She also received the Jeju Volunteer Service Award back in 2019.

(박명순) Park Myung-soon, the president of the Jeju Bean Sprouts Farming Association Corporation, has been chosen as the winner for business. She has made remarkable contributions to Jeju’s local economy and received the Jeju Economy Award and the Best New Intellectual Award.

The awarding ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on the 16th at the 43rd Memorial Ceremony at (모충사) Mochungsa Temple near Sarabong Peak.

제43회 김만덕상 수상자로
봉사 부문에 정정숙씨,
경제인 부문에 박명순씨가 선정됐습니다.

봉사부문 수상자로 선정된 정정숙씨는
1989년부터 사회복시시설과 노인, 장애인,
청소년, 여성 등 다양한 이웃들에게
나눔과 베품을 실천해 왔으며
2019년에는 제주자원봉사대상 대상을 수상했습니다.

또 경제인 부문 수상자인 박명씨는
제주콩나물영농조합법인 대표로
제주경제상,
신지식인 최우수상을 수상하는 등
지역산업 발전에 이바지한 공로를 인정받았습니다.

시상식은 오는 16일 오전 10시,
사라봉 모충사에서 거행되는
제43회 만덕제 봉행식에서 이뤄집니다.
