Expanding Scope for April 3rd Relatives


Following the Supreme Courts July decision to expand the scope of Jeju 4·3 family relation registrations, further revisions will be made to the Jeju 4·3 Special Act.

On October 13th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety pre-announced plans to the ordinance of the Jeju 4·3 Special Act to expand subjects of family relations registration or correction.

Those approved with a biological relation to a victim will be eligible to make corrections to their family relations registers. This is in addition to victims and their bereaved families.

후속 절차로 4.3 특별법 시행령이 개정됩니다.

행정안전부는 13일 4.3 가족관계 등록부 작성과 정정 대상을 확대하는 것을 주요 내용으로 하는 4.3 특별법 시행령 개정안을 입법예고했습니다.
개정안이 확정되면 가족관계 등록부 정정 대상이 종전 당사자와 유족에서 4.3 위원회가 친생자 관계로 인정한 당사자까지 확대됩니다.
