Improvement Needed in Bus System


The service disruption of the bus information system(BIS) reported by KCTV was in the hot seat at Jeju Council's administrative audit.

The Provincial City Planning Committee pointed out that the accident occurred in spite of having more than 500 million won in budget for maintenance annually and raised the need for clarification and proper measures to prevent future recurrences.

They also stressed the need to come up with measures to avoid another total shutdown in the future when technical issues arise.

KCTV가 보도한 버스정보시스템 먹통 사태가 제주도의회 행정사무감사에서 도마에 올랐습니다.

제주도의회 환경도시위원회는 지난 17일 저녁 40여 분 동안 버스정보시스템이 중단된 것과 관련해 해마다 유지관리에 5억원 이상 예산이 사용되고 있는데도 먹통 사고가 발생한 데 대해 원인을 명확히 파악하고 재발 방지 대책을 세워야 한다고 지적했습니다.

또 장비만 교체해서 해결될 문제가 아니라며 기술적 장애가 발생했을 경우 먹통 사태를 막기 위한 프로그램 이원화 등 대안 마련을 요구했습니다.
