Seeds of Beer Barley in Quality

The Jeju Agricultural Technology Institute supplied 4.5 tons of original barley seeds to the Jeju Headquarters of NongHyup Agribusiness Group Inc.

The original seeds supplied will be produced as certificated seeds and distributed to farmers.

With this supply, the area of over 600 ha will be upgraded with quality seeds.

Currently, beer barley produced in Jeju amounts to 7,100 tons, accounting for 30 percent of the nation's production.



맥주보리 우량종자 4.5톤 공급…600ha 갱신


제주도농업기술원이 농협경제지주 제주지역본부에 맥주보리 원종 4.5톤을 공급했습니다.

공급된 맥주보리 원종은 농협 채종포에서 보급종을 생산해 농가에 나눠주게 됩니다.

이번 공급으로 600헥타아르 면적에 대해 우량 종자로 갱신할 것으로 예상됩니다.

현재 제주에서 생산된 맥주보리는 7천 100톤으로 전국 생산량의 30%를 차지하고 있습니다.
