Nation's First Port Safety Inspector

Jeju province will be the first local government to place a safety inspector at ports to prevent safety accidents.

One safety inspector will begin to work at Jeju Port in the upcoming month, and personnel will be deployed at (서귀포) Seogwipo port from the following year.

Inspectors are in charge of port safety, including verifying approval and execution of the Port Safety Control Plan established by the Port Cargo Operator. Plans include taking corrective measures where needed.



제주도, 전국 최초 항만 안전점검관 배치 추진

제주도가 항만근로자 안전사고 예방을 위해 지방자치단체 최초로 도내 무역항에 안전점검관을 배치합니다.

우선 다음달부터 제주항에 안전점검관 1명이 근무를 시작하며 서귀포항은 내년부터 인력이 배치될 계획입니다.

항만안전점검관은 항만하역사업자가 수립한 자체 안전관리계획의 승인과 이행 여부 확인, 시정조치 업무 등을 맡아 항만 안전을 총괄하게 됩니다.
