Children’s Story ‘Sogeumbachi’ Published


Writer (김정애) Kim Jung-ae, a member of the Jeju Children’s Literature Association, published a children’s book titled (소금바치) “Sogeumbachi”, which means salt farmers.

This book is about the salt fields in (종달리) Jongdal-ri, an eastern village of Jeju, and tells old tales of salt merchants from the past.

The book also introduces a salt-making experience room in (종달리) Jongdal-ri along with tools that were used to make salt.

Writer (김정애) Kim Jung-ae received a Teachers’ Literature Award at a contest hosted by the Korean Education Newspaper in 2001. While winning the award for her storybook in 2004, she made her debut as a writer.



김정애 작가, 장편동화 '소금바치' 발간


제주아동문학협회에서 활동하고 있는 김정애 작가가 신작 장편동화 '소금바치'를 발간했습니다.

이 책은 제주의 동쪽 바다마을인 종달리의 소금밭과 옛 소금장수들의 이야기를 담고 있습니다.

책 뒷부분에는 종달리 소금체험실의 실제 모습과 소금을 만드는데 쓰이는 고구들을 소개하고 있습니다.

김정애 작가는 2001년 한국교육신문이 주최한 문학공모전에서 교원문학상을 받았으며 2004년 동화로 등단해 글을 쓰기 시작했습니다.
