The civic groups’ claim that the Provincial Council offered a guarantee worth 100 billion won regarding the Odeungbong Park Development Project to business proprietors was denied.

It was explained through a press release that explained that the proprietor deposited 122.6 billion won in cash to purchase the site by issuing bonds, and that the plan was to refund the entire deposit in case any problem occurred.

Therefore, it has nothing to do with Guarantees of obligation and
is not a matter subjected to resolution by the provincial council.



제주시, "오등봉공원 사업자 지급보증 사실 아니"


제주시가 오등봉 민간특례사업과 관련해 도의회 심의절차를 무시하고 사업자에게 1천억원대 지급보증을 해줬다는 시민단체의 주장에 사실이 아니라고 해명했습니다.

제주시는 보도자료를 내고 사업자 측은 채권 발행을 통해 부지 매입비 1천 226억 원을 현금으로 예치했고 만약 사업에 문제가 생길 경우 제주시가 예치금 전액을 반환하는 구조일 뿐이라고 설명했습니다.

따라서 채무 보증과는 관련이 없으며
지방의회 의결사항도
아니라고 덧붙였습니다.
