Jeju International Universal Design Expo will be held at the Jeju International Convention Center for three days from the 13th.

Hosted by Jeju Province and co-hosted by the Korea Human Rights Forum for Persons with Disabilities and Korea National University of Welfare, the event will be divided into an event hall, an experience hall, and an exhibition hall exhibiting wearable robots and universal design bathroom products for the aging society.

Additionally, variable development plans for Universal Design will be discussed through an academic seminar.

Universal design refers to products, architecture, and urban design that are convenient and safe for anyone, regardless of gender, age, nationality, or disability.



제주국제유니버설디자인엑스포 13일 개막


제주국제유니버설디자인엑스포가 오는 13일부터 사흘간 제주국제컨벤션센터에서 열립니다.

제주특별자치도가 주최하고 한국장애인 인권포럼과 국립 한국복지대학교가 공동 주관하는 이번 행사는 행사관과 체험관, 전시관으로 나눠 진행되며 농어촌지역의 노동인구 고령화에 대비한 에어러블 로봇체험과 유니버설디자인 욕실제품 등이 다양하게 전시됩니다.

또 국제학술세미나를 통해 유니버설디자인에 대한 다양한 발전방안을 논의하게 됩니다.

유니버설디자인은 성별이나 연령, 국적, 장애유무에 상관없이 누구나 편리하고 안전하게 사용할 수 있는 제품과 건축, 도시환경 디자인을 일컫는 말입니다.
