Jeju province prohibited the import of poultry and produce from Chungnam and pork products from Gangwon provinces.

Such measures are based on the highly pathogenic avian influenza(AI) found on duck farms in Cheonan, Chungnam, and African swine fever which occurred in Cheolwon of Gangwon Province.

The prohibition on poultry products is expanding to Chungbuk following Gyeongbuk and Jeonbuk, including live poultry from other provinces.

With growing concerns of AI and African swine fever outbreaks, Jeju is urging on strengthening preventive measures and asks all farmers to comply with regulations.



강원산 돼지생산물·충남산 가금산물 반입 금지

제주특별자치도가 충남산 가금육과 생산물, 강원산 돼지산물의 반입을 금지하고 있습니다.

충남 천안 오리농장에서 고병원성 조류인플루엔자가, 강원 철원에서 아프리카 돼지열병이 발생한데에 따른 조치입니다.

이에따라 다른지방산 살아있는 가금류를 비롯해 경북과 전북에 이어 충북까지 가금산물의 반입금지가 확대되고 있습니다.

제주도는 조류인플루엔자가 전국으로 확대 발생하고 있고 아프리카돼지열병 역시 불안감이 커지고 있다며 농장 내외부의 방역강화와 함께 관련 수칙의 준수를 당부하고 있습니다.
