The Jeju Police will operate six sections within the downtown area, where accidents of personal mobility frequently occurr, as a ‘Walking Safe Zone’.

The six designated sections include (노형) Nohyung Elementary School, (남녕) Namnyung High School, Lotte City Hotel, (신제주) Sinjeju-rotary, the rear gate of (한라) Halla University, and a front road of (제일) Jeil Middle School.

Accordingly, the police will set up road signs that ban two-wheeled vehicles on sidewalks or crosswalks and strengthen the crackdown.

The province also plans to request mobility companies to refrain from operating rentals or the return of mobility vehicles in the safe zone.



제주시내 6개 구간 '보행자 안심구간' 운영

제주도 자치경찰단이 개인형 이동장치 사고가 자주 발생하고 있는 제주시내 6개 구간을 보행자 안심구간으로 운영합니다.

이번에 지정된 6곳은 노형초등학교와 남녕고, 롯데시티호텔, 신제주로터리, 한라대 후문, 제일중 앞 도로입니다.

이에따라 자치경찰은 노면과 기둥에 인도나 횡단보도로의 이륜차 주행금지 안내표지판을 설치하고 이에 대한 단속을 강화합니다.

또 이동장치 공유업체에 대해서도 안심구간에서의 대여나 반납 자제를 요청할 계획입니다.
