Tangerine Picking Season


Branches are loaded with ripe tangerines mingled amongst evergreen leaves.
Visitors with scissors in one hand look for sweet tangerines,
selecting a golden one and carefully pick it with scissors.

Those who visit the place with their friends and family are completely absorbed in picking tangerines.
They are not skilled in scissoring, but soon the bag is filled with the bright yellow fruit.

It’s my first time, so it’s a little awkward and I don't know how to do it. But it is so much fun and the tangerines are sweet. I ate a lot of them.


With the tangerine season in full swing, the Seogwipo Agricultural Research and Extension Service is holding the picking event.
At 3,000 won per person, participants can pick ripe tangerines and take them home.
Participants are satisfied with the event as they can enjoy as many tangerines as they want inside the farm.

This year, more people are visiting as restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic have been eased and the event period has been extended.

With less rain and more sunny weather this year, tangerines are sweeter than usual.

The tangerine picking event is underway through November 30 at our farm of 83,000 ㎡. The sugar content is higher than in previous years. Come and have a good time.

'직접 따고 맛보고' 감귤 따기 '인기'


푸른 나뭇잎 사이로
탐스럽게 익은 감귤이
나무마다 주렁주렁 열려있습니다.

체험객들이 한 손에 가위를 든 채 잘 익은 감귤을 찾아다닙니다.

노랗게 익은 열매를 골라
조심스럽게 줄기를 잘라냅니다.

친구와 가족들과 함께
체험장을 찾은 이들은 감귤 따는 재미에 푹 빠졌습니다.

처음 해 보는 가위질이 서툴기도 하지만

하나 둘 따다보니
어느새 봉투에 샛노란 귤이 가득 찼습니다.

처음 해보는 거라 좀 어색하고 할 줄 모를 줄 알았는데, 너무 재밌고 귤이 우선 맛있어서 하면서 귤도 많이 먹고 좋았어요.


서귀포농업기술센터가
감귤 따기 체험행사를 마련했습니다.

한 사람에 3천 원을 내면 잘 익은 감귤을 골라 따보고,

직접 수확한 귤은
집으로도 가져갈 수 있습니다.

체험장 안에서는 실컷 귤을 맛 볼 수도 있어 인기입니다.

올해는 코로나가 완화돼 행사 기간이 연장되면서
더 많은 사람들의 발길이 이어지고 있습니다.

특히 올해는 비가 적게 내리고 맑은 날씨가 이어지면서
예년보다 더 달고
새콤한 감귤을 먹을 수 있습니다.

서귀포농업기술센터에서는 2만 5천 평 규모의 제주농업생태원이 운영되고 있습니다. 11월 30일까지 저희가 감귤 따기 체험을 진행하고 있는데요. 예년에 비해서 당도가 높기 때문에 많이들 오셔서 즐거운 시간 보내셨으면 좋겠습니다.
