The Itaewon tragedy has raised awareness to strengthen safety measures of festivals and events.

Thus, safety regulations for festivals and events regulated for gatherings of above 1,000 people will be mandatory for gatherings of 500 and more.

Moreover, for gatherings that exceed 1,000 participants, a crowd dispersion plan and safety control education will be mandatory.

For regional events, CCTVs will be monitored to control crowd concentration.

The province will conduct a full survey on all upcoming yearend festivals and events and conduct joint inspections for needed patrol services at unofficial sunset or sunrise events.




500명 이상 축제·행사 안전관리대책 의무화

이태원 참사를 계기로 제주도내 축제와 행사에 대한 안전관리대책이 한층 강화됩니다.


이에따라 제주특별자치도는 현재 1천명 이상 참여하는 축제와 행사에 적용했던 안전관리계획 수립을 500명 이상으로 확대합니다.


또 1천명 이상 행사나 축제 안전관리계획을 심의할 경우 인원 분산 대책과 안전관리 교육 실태를 의무적으로 확인합니다.

이와 함께 읍면동 단위 지역별 개최 행사에 대해서는 CCTV를 활용해 인원 밀집에 대한 관제관리에 나섭니다.

제주도는 연말까지 계획된 모든 축제와 행사를 전수조사하는 한편 비공식적으로 개최되는 해넘이. 해맞이 행사의 경우 경찰 등 유관기관과 합동 점검과 순찰을 강화합니다.
