The (서귀포) Seogwipo Police Station is investigating a man in his 40s on charges of entering and stealing from an empty house in Seogwipo City.

According to the police, suspect A was charged with stealing approximately 10 million won worth of goods, including precious metals and cash from empty houses going around (서귀포시) Seogwipo city, in particular in (대정읍) Daejeong-eup and (안덕면) Andeok-myeon.

A was reported to have committed the crime targeting empty houses during the citrus harvest season.

The police continue to investigate for any further crimes while issuing an arrest warrant for the suspect.




농번기 틈 타 빈집 털이 40대 남성 입건


서귀포경찰서는 서귀포시 일대를 돌며 빈 집에 들어가 절도 행각을 벌인 혐의로 40대 남성을 붙잡아 조사하고 있습니다.

경찰에 따르면 피의자인 A씨는 지난달부터 최근까지 오토바이를 이용해 대정읍과 안덕면 등 서귀포시 일대에 있는 빈집을 돌며 집 안에 있는 귀금속과 현금 등 약 1천만 원 상당을 훔쳐 달아난 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

특히 A씨는 감귤 수확철을 맞아 낮 시간대 비어있는 집을 골라 범행을 저지른 것으로 알려졌습니다.

경찰은 피의자에 대해 구속영장을 신청하는 한편 여죄를 조사하고 있습니다.
