The Jeju POE is pushing for the establishment of three schools.

The Jeju Provincial Office of Education recently prepared a mid-term Jeju Education Financial Plan that calls for the establishment of two elementary schools and one high school in Jeju City. In particular, they will be situated at the Jeju Advanced Science and Technology Complex and (오등봉) Odeungbong Park.

40.4 billion won will be injected in 2027 for the establishment of a general high school in Jeju city.

According to the current policies, the establishment of schools that cost above 10 billion won must pass the government's central investment assessment which is scheduled for May next year.



도교육청, 초등 2개교·고교 1개교 신설 계획 수립


제주도교육청이 3개 학교의 신설을 추진합니다.

제주도교육청은 최근 제주첨단과학기술단지와 제주시 오등봉 공원 일대에
초등학교 2곳과
제주시 내 고등학교 1곳을 신설하는 내용을
담은 중기 제주교육 재정계획을 마련하고 제주도의회에 제출했습니다.


신설 추진 중인 고등학교는 제주시 평준화 일반고로 현재 부지는 확보되지 않았지만
오는 2027년 404억원을 투자할 계획입니다.

현행 규칙에 따르면
100억원 이상이 투입되는 학교 신설 등은
정부의 중앙투자심사를 통과해야 하는데 내년 5월 예정돼 있습니다.
