Jeju City has conducted a joint safety inspection on ports and have installed 36 additional fire extinguishers at 33 highly populated berths.

Each fire extinguisher storage box is equipped with six powder fire extinguishers for ships with easy access in the event of a fire.

Earlier in July, Jeju City conducted a joint safety inspection of the port after a ship fire accident occurred at Seongsan Port and Hallym Port this year.




제주시, 33개 항포구에 소화기 보관함 추가 설치


제주시가 항포구에 대한 합동안전점검을 실시하고 33개항 어선밀집 접안 구역에 소화기 보관함 36개를 추가 설치했다고 밝혔습니다.

소화기 보관함에는 선박용 분말 소화기 6개씩 비치돼 화재 발생시 누구나 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 했습니다.

앞서 제주시는 올해 성산항과 한림항에서 선박 화재사고가 발생한 이후 지난 7월부터 도내 항포구에 대한 합동 안전점검을 실시했습니다.
