Jeju Special Self-Governing Province recently conducted a house search to seize property of 12 people who failed to pay local taxes of more than 20 million won and have collected 48 million won in cash.

The seized property includes 14 valuables including golden keys and high-end watches.

The collected cash immediately covered the debt. In addition, precious metals are being assessed through a specialized institution sales prices to be determined.

The amount of local tax arrears of 12 people reached a total of 700 million won.

In addition, since the beginning of this year, Jeju has been tracking illegal cars and focusing on forced sales, and so far has collected 229 million won for 66 vehicles.



고액.상습 체납 12명 가택수색…현금·귀중금 압류


제주특별자치도가 최근 2천만원 이상 지방세를 체납한 12명에 대한 가택수색을 실시해 현금 4천 800만원과 황금열쇠, 고급시계 등 귀중품 14점을 압류 조치했습니다.

압류한 현금으로 체납액을 즉시 충당했으며 귀금속은 전문기관을 통해 진품 여부 감정과 매각가격을 결정한 후
공매를 의뢰했습니다.

이번에 가택수색을 실시한 12명의 지방세 체납규모는 7억원에 이르고 있습니다.

제주도는 올해 초부터 불법명의 자동차를 추적해 강제매각을 중점으로 실시하고 있으며 현재 66대에 대해 2억 2천 900만원을 징수한 바 있습니다.
