Regarding the construction of the (동부) Dongbu Sewage Treatment Plant,
an Impact Analysis Service and Academic Research will be initiated on (용천) Yongcheon Cave.

At the request of the Cultural Heritage Administration, the province will conduct a preliminary investigation and an analysis prior to the expansion of the (용천)Yongcheon Cave Lake section next year, regardless of whether the construction will proceed.

However, following the decision, additional investigations may be outsourced. This may mean bringing the construction to a halt if necessary.

The province reaffirmed that the illegality of a permit extension is not under the supervision of the Cultural Heritage Administration.

동부하수처리장 증설공사와 관련해
용천동굴 영향 분석 용역과 학술조사가 추진됩니다.

제주도는 증설공사 시작전
사전검토가 필요하다는 문화재청의 요청에 따라 사전협의를 진행하고
공사진행 여부와 관계없이 내년에 용천동굴 호수구간에 대한 유산지구 확대 추진을 위한 학술조사를 실시하기로 했습니다.

다만 하수처리장 증설에 따른
잠재적 영향 분석 용역도 실시해
결과에 따라 공사중지 등 필요한 조치를 하기로 했습니다.

제주도는 공사기간 연장허가의 위법성에 대해서는 단순히 사업 기간만 연장하는 경미한 사항에 해당돼 문화재청장의 허가사항이 아닌것을 재확인했다고 덧붙였습니다.
