Jeju National University recently filed a complaint to the police against a professor suspected of fasely embezzling research funds.

As a result of a self audit, a Jeju National University fact-finding team discovered that a professor falsely registered five people, including his students, as researchers and illegally seized 44 million won in labor costs over the past five years since 2018.

The professor was reported to the police and is currently undergoing a disciplinary process.

Meanwhile, the professor resigned from position as the Division Center Head.





'연구원 허위 등록' 인건비 횡령 의혹 교수 고발


최근 제주대 교수가 보조금 인건비 횡령 의혹을 받고 있는 가운데 학교 측이 해당 교수를 경찰에 고발했습니다.

제주대 진상조사팀은 자체 감사 결과 해당 교수가 지난 2018년부터 5년 동안 제자 등 5명을 연구원으로 허위 등록하고 인건비 4천 400만 원을 빼돌린 것으로 판단했습니다.


이에 따라 교수를 경찰에 고발하고 징계 절차에 들어갔다고 밝혔습니다.

한편 해당 교수는 의혹이 불거지자, 맡고 있던 센터장직을 사임했습니다.
