The passing rate of the elementary education appointment exam at Jeju National University(JNU)'s School of Education has dropped to the 50% range in 10 years.

According to Jeju National University, only 68 of 116 people who took the teacher appointment test held in February last year were successful.

In particular, the acceptance rate recorded 93% in 2015, but it fell to the 50% range since 2012.

Jeju National University analyzed that the number of teachers has decreased due to the recent decrease in the school-age population, unlike in the past when there was a higher teacher selection population.

The province had the largest number of candidates with 33 people, followed by Gyeonggi, Busan, and Seoul.

제주대학교 교육대학의 초등 임용시험 합격률이 10년 만에 50%대까지 떨어진 것으로 나타났습니다.


제주대에 따르면 지난해 2월 치러진 교사 임용시험을 58%로 응시한 116명 중 합격자는 68명에 그쳤습니다.

특히 합격률은 지난 2015년 93%를 기록하기도 했지만 지난 2012년 이후 10년 만에 50%대까지 떨어졌습니다.

제주대는 교원 선발 규모가 컸던 과거와 달리 최근 학령인구 감소로 교사 정원이 줄었기 때문으로 분석했습니다.

임용시험 합격 지역은 제주도가 33명으로 가장 많았고 경기과 부산, 서울 등의 순으로 나타났습니다.
