Jeju's representative, known as Jeju's representative cultural event will be held normally for the first time in four years.

Jeju City announced that it will hold the Jeju Fire Festival at (새별) Saebyeol Oreum located in (봉성리) Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju City for four days from March 9th until the 12th.

In particular, this year will be the first face-to-face festival in four years since 2019.

Jeju City plans to prioritize safety management as a large crowd is expected to gather during the festival.

Meanwhile, the festival will feature a variety of programs, performances, folk games, beginning with its torch lighting at (삼성혈) Samseong Hyul on March 9th.

The highlight of the festival which is the burning of (새별오름) Saebyeol Oreum, will be held at 7 p.m. on the 11th, the third day of the festival.





제주들불축제, 4년 만에 정상 개최…3월 9일 개막


제주를 대표하는 문화관광축제인 제주들불축제가 4년 만에 정상적으로 개최됩니다.

제주시는 오는 3월 9일부터 12일까지 나흘동안 제주시 애월읍 봉성리 새별오름 일대에서 제주들불축제를 개최한다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 올해는 지난 2019년 이후 4년만에 도민과 관광객이 함께하는 대면 축제로 진행됩니다.

제주시는 축제기간 많은 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상됨에 따라 안전관리에 최우선을 두고 준비해 나갈 계획입니다.

한편 축제는 3월 9일 삼성혈 불씨 채화를 시작으로 공연과 민속경기 등 다채로운 프로그램이 마련되며 축제 사흘째인 11일 저녁 7시 하이라이트인 오름불놓기가 펼쳐집니다.
