The Jeju Haenyeo Museum is conducting a study on female divers who dive outside of Jeju.

As part of this year's Jeju-Gyeongbuk Marine Exchange Cooperation Project, the Haenyeo Museum will shed light on Jeju Haenyeos who have been exposed to (울릉도) Ulleungdo and (독도)Dokdo since the Japanese colonial era.

A special co-exhibition will be held jointly with the Dokdo Museum in (울릉군) Ulleung-gun in August with findings from varies studies including the records of Jeju Haenyeos who served as Dokdo keepers.

제주 해녀박물관이 독도 출향해녀에 대한 조사 연구를 진행합니다.

해녀박물관은 올해 학예분야 사업으로 제주-경북 해양교류 협력사업의 일환으로 일제강점기부터 울릉도와 독도에 바깥물질을 나간 제주해녀들을 조명하는 작업을 진행합니다.

특히 독도 지킴이로 나선 제주해녀의 기록물 등
다양한 자료를 조사 연구하고 이를 바탕으로
오는 8월에 울릉군 독도박물관과 공동으로
특별전시를 개최할 예정입니다.
