Excessive metallic foreign substances have been in foods distributed in the province.

Emergency recalls have been made and distribution has been blocked after metal foreign substances were found to have been excessively detected in some foods distributed in the island.

The Jeju Institute of Health and Environment conducted a safety test on 701 foods distributed in the province and found excess metallic foreign substances in processed soybean and agricultural products.

It is suspected that careless mishandling is the cause or that fine iron dusts may have mixed in during grinding processes.

The Institute of Health and Environment reported the information to related departments across the country through an emergency notification system, and took administrative measures for emergency recalls and blocked distribution.

제주도내 일부 식품에서 금속성 이물질이 초과 검출된 것으로 나타나 긴급 회수와
유통 차단조치가 내려졌습니다.

제주도보건환경연구원이 도내에서 유통되는 식품 701건을 대상으로 안전성 검사를 실시한 결과 두류가공품과 농산가공품 각 1건에서
금속성 이물이 초과 검출됐습니다.

단단한 건조 농산물 등을 분쇄하면서 미세한 쇳가루나 제조공정 중 부주의나 관리소홀에 의한 것으로 추정되고 있습니다.

보건환경연구원은 부적합긴급통보시스템을 통해 전국 관련 부서에 이같은 내용을 전파해 긴급 회수와 유통 차단 등 행정처분 조치했습니다.
