Starting this year, Jeju students will be able to donate books under their own name to Korean schools abroad through points earned by reading.

This year, the Jeju Provincial Office of Education plans to issue certificates to students through reading activities and will donate books to overseas Korean schools including the Jeju (김만덕) Kim, Mandeok School in Vietnam. The books will be donated under the name of the donator.

After pilot testing the program in the first half of the year, the Office of Education will expand the operation in the second half.

올해부터 제주학생들은 독서로 포인트를 쌓아
해외 한국학교에 자신의 이름으로 책을 기부할 수 있게됩니다.


제주도교육청은 올해 인성교육 강화 방안으로 다양한 독서를 수행한 학생들에게 인증서를 발급하고 인증서를 제출한 학생의 이름으로 베트남에 있는 제주 김만덕학교 등
해외 한국 학교에 책을 기부하는 사업을 진행한다고 밝혔습니다.

교육청은 올 상반기 시범 운영 후 하반기에 확대 운영할 계획입니다.
