Jeju City will conduct a full child abuse survey of 353 children under the age of 18 who were predicted and notified as suspected households of child abuse by the 20th of next month.

Public officials will pay visits to households in each administrative district and conduct face-to-face investigations to check on any possible child abuse crisis.

If the whereabouts and safety of the child are unknown or if child abuse is suspected such as refusing to accept a visit, a police investigation may be requested.

Meanwhile, Jeju City conducted a survey on a total of 1,100 children last year and provided 261 counseling and services.




제주시, 학대위기 의심아동 전수조사 실시


제주시가 다음달 20일까지 학대위기 의심가구로 예측, 통보된 18살 이하 353명의 아동들에 대한 전수조사를 실시합니다.

조사는 읍면동 공무원이 방문해 아동과 직접 대면 상담으로 위기상황 여부 등을 확인하게 됩니다.

아동의 소재와 안전이 확인되지 않거나 방문거부 등 아동학대가 의심되는 경우 경찰에 수사를 의뢰할 방침입니다.

한편 제주시는 지난해 1천100여 명의 아동을 전수조사하고 261건의 상담과 서비스를 지원했습니다.
