As the COVID-19 quarantine system is eased, the new school semester begins without masks this year.

At a press conference held at the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, Superintendent (김광수) Kim Kwang-soo announced that new educational quarantine measures have been guided to schools at all levels.

Accordingly, all schools have welcomed students without the required self Covid-19 tests, and partition installations at common spaces including cafeterias and dormitories.

Meanwhile each school is allowed to autonomously take quarantine measures according to the situation.

In addition, a budget of 1 billion won has been invested to deploy medical teachers and provide sufficient quarantine supplies and will extend the quarantine support project for another two months.




‘마스크 없는 개학'…학교 자율 방역

코로나 방역 체계가 완화되면서 올해는 마스크 없는 개학을 맞게 됩니다.

김광수 제주도교육감은 교육청 기자실에서 기자회견을 열고 올해 신학기 학교 방역 관리 방안을 마련해 각급 학교에 안내했다고 밝혔습니다.

주요내용을 보면 모든 학교는 정상등교를 진행하고 자가진단 애플리케이션과 발열검사, 급식실 칸막이, 기숙사 공용공간 내 칸막이 설치를 폐지했습니다.

다만 감염 상황과 방역 여건 등을 고려해 학교에서 자율적으로 방역 조치가 가능하도록 했습니다.

이를 위해 보건 교사를 배치하고 방역물품을 충분히 구비하도록 예산 10억 원을 지원하고 학교방역 인력 지원사업도 2개월 더 연장하기로 결정했습니다.
