The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters has issued a spring wildfire safety accident warning.

Accordingly, the province will continue to establish a cooperative system to strengthen fire prevention promotion and promote safety guidance activities including guidance on prohibition of incineration activities in cooperation with the volunteer fire brigade.

Over the past five years, a total of 179 cases of wildfires were recorded. This means that more than 20 wildfires occur each year. In addition, 54% of the cases have been concentrated between March and May, when the weather is most dry.

In particular, 154 fires were caused by carelessness, accounting for 86% of the total.
Most of such fires were found to have been caused by garbage incineration, neglect of embers, and cigarette butts.





건조한 봄철 '들불 안전사고 주의보' 발령


제주소방안전본부가 봄철 들불 안전사고 주의보를 발령했습니다.

이에따라 유관기관과 공조체계를 구축해 화재 예방 홍보를 강화하고 의용소방대와의 협업으로 소각행위 금지안내 등 안전지도 활동을 지속적으로 추진합니다.

최근 5년간 들불피해 화재건수는 179건으로 해마다 20건 이상 발생했으며 날씨가 건조한 봄철인 3월과 5월 사이에 전체 발생건수의 54%가 집중됐습니다.

특히 쓰레기 소각과 불씨 방치, 담배꽁초 등 부주의에 의한 화재가 154건으로 전체의 86%를 차지했습니다.
