From the 20th, the obligation to wear masks will be lifted in regards to public transportation including buses and taxis.

The COVID-19 Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced their decision was made after reviewing the recent quarantine situation.

It has been three years since the outbreak of COVID-19 and about two and a half years after the government made it mandatory to wear masks that people are now free from wearing them.

In addition, open pharmacies located inside large supermarkets will now be exempt from the obligation to wear masks as well.



대중교통 마스크 착용 의무 20일부터 해제


오는 20일부터 버스와 택시 등 대중교통에서도 마스크 착용 의무가 해제됩니다.

코로나19 중앙재난안전대책본부는 오늘 오전 회의를 열고 최근의 방역상황을 검토한 결과 이같이 결정했다고 밝혔습니다.

대중교통 마스크 해제는 코로나19가 발생한 지 3년여 만, 정부 차원에서 마스크 착용을 의무화한 지 약 2년 반 만입니다.

또 대형마트 등 안에 위치한 개방형 약국에 해서도 마스크 착용 의무를 추가로 해제합니다.
