Improvement projects will be implemented for six local roads in rural areas where traffic accidents frequently occur.

Jeju Province plans to comprehensively identify problems with relevant agencies for areas with a high incidence of traffic accidents and invest KRW 1.1 billion to complete the improvement projects within this year.

The project targets six locations, including the (큰구릉내) Keun-gureung-ne Intersection in (애월읍) Aewol-eup and the (김녕) Gimnyeong Port Entrance Intersection in (구좌읍) Gujwa-eup, the east side of (가원) Gawan Intersection in (태흥리) Taehang-ri, (남원읍) Namwon-eup, and the (삼원) Samwon Industrial Entrance Intersection in (하모리) Hamori-ri, (대정읍) Daejeong-eup.

The project sites will be reinforced with unmanned traffic surveillance equipment, traffic lights, and road safety facilities.




교통사고 잦은 읍면지역 도로 6개 지점 개선 추진


교통사고가 자주 발생하는 읍면지역 지방도 노선 6개 지점에 대한 개선 사업이 추진됩니다.

제주도는 교통사고 다발 지역에 대해 유관기관과 합동으로 문제점을 종합적으로 파악하고 사업비 11억 원을 투입해 올해 안에 개선 사업을 완료할 계획입니다.

사업 대상지는 애월읍 큰구릉내교차로와 구좌읍 김녕항입구 교차로, 남원읍 태흥리 가원교차로 동측 4가, 대정읍 하모리 삼원공업사입구 교차로 등 모두 6개 지점입니다.

사업 대상지에는 무인교통단속장비와 교통신호등, 도로안전시설물이 보강됩니다.
