Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is set to push for its constitutional status.

To achieve this goal, the current working group will shift from operating bi-monthly to a rolling basis to develop a constitutional amendment for Jeju and establish persuasive arguments for the National Assembly and the government through impactful analysis.

In particular, a parliamentary debate on the constitutional status of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will be held in May to elaborate on the consensus on the issue.

Along with this, there are plans to collaborate with constitutional reform groups across the country and engage young people in promotional campaigns.

제주특별자치도가 헌법적 지위 확보를 위한 행보를 본격화 합니다.

이를 위해 현재 운영중인 워킹그룹을 당초 격월 체제에서 수시로 전환해 제주도의 개헌안을 도출하고 효과분석을 통한 국회와 정부의 설득 논리를 마련합니다.

특히 오는 5월 중 제주특별자치도의 헌법적 지위에 대한 공감대 확산을 위해 국회에서 개헌토론회를 개최할 예정입니다.

이와 함께 전국 개헌단체들과의 연대를 추진하고 청년.대학생 홍보단 등을 적극 활용한다는 구상입니다.
