As the first project of the ‘Hometown Love Donation Fund,’ a Forest of Donation will be created.

Jeju will invest 500 million won until October to create a 5,000-square-meter forest on the south side of the (모총사) Mocheongsa Temple in Sarabong Park in Jeju City.

The plan is to create ‘a Forest of Donation’ to commemorate anti-Japanese soldiers along with the famous Jeju female entrepreneur (김만덕) Kim Man-deok.

In addition, commemorative sculptures will be established for donors in the forest to show appreciation and promote a donating culture.

고향사랑기부금 1호 사업으로 '고향사랑 기부숲'이 조성됩니다.

제주도는 사업비 5억 원을 투입해 오는 10월까지 제주시 사라봉공원 모충사 남측에 5천제곱미터 규모의 숲을 조성하기로 했습니다.

고향사랑 기부숲은 항일의병과 항일투쟁가, 의녀 김만덕을 기리는 모충사와 연계해 나눔과 베품의 숲으로 조성할 계획입니다.

또 숲 조성 시 기부 기념 조형물을 설치하는 등 기부자를 예우하고 기부 분위기 확산에 나설 방침입니다.
