With the amendment of the Wildlife Protection Act, exhibiting or using wild animals in unregistered facilities other than zoos will be prohibited.

Anyone exhibiting wild animals at a tourist farms or wildlife cafes may be exempt from the ban on exhibition until December 13, 2027, if information including type and number of animals are reported in advance before December 13th of this year.

While exhibitions will be permitted during the postponement period, any experiential activities will be prohibited. There are currently 12 registered zoos operating in Jeju.




동물원 외 살아있는 야생동물 체험·전시 금지


야생동물 보호법 개정으로 동물원으로 등록되지 않은 시설에서 살아있는 야생동물 체험이나 전시가 금지됩니다.

이에따라 관광농원이나 야생동물 카페 등에서 야생동물을 전시하고 있는 경우 올해 12월 13일까지 보유 동물 종류와 개체수를 신고하면 2027년 12월 13일까지 전시 금지가 유예됩니다.

다만 유예기간 전시는 가능하지만 체험행위는 금지됩니다.

현재 제주에는 동물원 12곳이 등록돼 운영되고 있습니다.
